Ridgewalkers - Find (Armada release) - UK Trance alliance - January 2005

Andy Moor Remix

Fresh from his success with the White Room, Tilt and Leama & Moor projects, 24 year
old Andy Moor who hails from Stoke, UK wasn't about to rest on his laurels when he
made this remix. The first vinyl release to this remix was first released in June
2004, where it instantly became a huge favourite amongst fans and DJs alike,
instantly picked up rave reviews, and over the months after being released it was
constantly being played by the biggest DJs across the globe like Armin van Buuren
Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Markus schulz, Judge Jules, the list is endless!

The superb bassline of this track coupled with a chilling yet great vocals by El
proved to be a huge success, as it was voted rank no.4 on Armin van Buuren's A
State of Trance Top 20 of 2004 radio show. This tune kicks off with a bassline met
by a chime like tune before possibly the most familiar introduction to a tune this
year brings the progressive meets trance tune into gear, added with the splendid
vocals and guitar like riffs. With myself not too fond of vocal tracks, even I
found the vocals perfectly matching with everything else that is so good about this
tune. A near perfect tune, this track left countless scores of club goers singing to
"The Day Is Short, The Night Is Cool" in clubs, and will leave them singing for many
months to come.

Kyau vs Albert Remix

This German duo have been quite active in productions in 2004, with their own
productions Made of Sundoing pretty well, and a remix of the Young Parisians Jump
the Next Train. Next up is their remix of Find, which is a rather more trance, less
progressive version. A typical Kyau vs Albert bassline starts us off before at
around minute one the intro from Andy Moor's remix is voxed with samples of the
vocals, making an excellent intro to the tune before the pumping bassline begins
and some elements are added. Vocal samples from the chorus are integrated at this
point, before a break leaves vocalist El bringing the tune back into life. The pace
picks up again after that running into the most energetic portion of the tune
A short break follows, but only a brief one though as soon after the energetic
melodies are brought back, before the tune winds down to a close. Would be a
decent production on it's own but when compared to the A side, does seem rather
unfortunately bland. Uplifting trance fans would, however, like this, although more
progressive fans might think otherwise.
